In late 2023 we kicked off a multi-year transformation project with one of New Zealand's leading personal lenders. After reviewing and modifying existing platform and infrastructure strategy, we set to work embedding modern engineering practices to align the client's ways of working with their service vision. Next we launched into a cloud migration and implementation of a new loan management system, the core technology in a financial services business enabling enhanced customer experience.
In 2024 we began work with one of New Zealand's largest insurers, picking up a project that had seen multiple delays due to a range of issues with external providers. We came in on a tight delivery deadline and prioritised essential work to release core features to internal users, before optimising ways of working to enhance future delivery.
This sales training and consulting client helps customers improve sales win rates through proprietary win/loss data analysis. In addition to automated outputs, customers receive advanced analysis and reporting that took senior staff hours to produce for each client. By training and implementing an LLM to automate report preparation, we helped deliver massive capacity upgrades without adding employee overhead.
Partnering with a fintech focused on automating supply chain payments, we built an entire payments platform from the ground up, including AI-powered document scanning and analysis, payables automation, early payment discounting, and bank-to-bank payment execution via API. We set up their entire infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes - enabling a scalable, resilient, and cost-effective stack.
We worked with this US-based generative clinical AI provider on a number of product extensions, including adding APIs to document extraction services to pull user signup data directly from insurance cards, establishing automation testing, and building a range of third party integrations.
Priority number one for this trade credit customer onboarding platform was to upgrade their architecture, migrating from a legacy platform that was causing outages and delaying deployment to a modern Kubernetes stack. We also helped them build an engineering team to last, leading recruitment efforts and establishing a high-performance culture, while setting up compliance frameworks for ISO and SOC and building new features.
